Animal Photography: Red-footed Tortoise 🐢

Happy Saturday, dear Steemians.

I was exploring an abandoned place near my house when I heard a noise similar to two stones grazing. I turned around and there was this little friend stuck between two bricks. I approached it and could tell it was anxious because its breathing was short and fast. It was frightened by the situation it was in and I guess by my presence as well. Even though I placed it in a safer place, its breathing was still the same so I didn't want to bother it too much with my pictures.

I was happy to be in the right place to help it. Otherwise, I imagine it would have been like this for a long time until someone else found it. From what I could tell, besides feeding on the leaves of the plants around it, it seems that someone is taking care of it since there were a lot of banana peels on the floor. This is food that they usually enjoy.

Once free it walked very fast and I lost sight of it. However, I was able to shot two photographs to share with you and I hope you like it.
