" TODAY THE BIGGEST FESTIVAL FOR FARMERS OF NEPAL"

Today is the biggest day for every Nepalese people where we celebrated as a "Ropain Festival" meaning paddy plantation. Especially its a big celebration for the farmers in Nepal. Being a country exclusively based on agriculture, this day is very important for farmers as they plant new seeding of rice crops of the year. They go to the paddy field, play with the mud and water, plough the field and enjoy.

They also sing special famous folk song about the hard work and joy of farmers hoping to grow quintals of rice by planting kilos. The month of Nepali calendar (Asar) is favourable for paddy cultivation. Singing and dancing in the field they eat beaten rice and yogurt.

The melodious folk songs, the muddy water and the greenery of the atmosphere is very fascinating. Infact, Its the biggest day for all the Nepalese people.
