Pick which Abstract photograph you think is best --thanks :)
Okay, guys, I want your input; I am building and learning about abstract photography. Of course, I have a lot more I am presenting in class each week.
Every week I show up to photography class with photos and thought it would be fun to get input on a couple; trying to decide which people like the best.
It sometimes gets hard for me to be objective with my own photographs.

thank you, thank you.. I am so surprised .. this is the first trying black and white... and it seems to work better... this is why I go to my class. I appreciate your input as a photographer too.
Abstract is really something else .. I am learning a lot about myself too.
I am always a fan of black and white so I choose that..

Good job @rebeccabe. I really like your abstract photography especially the white one. Its near perfection. I have a little tip that is in creating something abstract, meaning we focus on a particular part of a subject, without displaying a whole section of the subject. An example is to focus on design elements such as patterns, lines, shapes, colors, and textures. Or can also use reflection and shadow.
Well, I don't have a macro lens they are quite expensive. I am thinking of buying some magnefying lenses and then will try.
I have never thought of abstract photography as an own style, but it absolutely makes sense. Both photos are good, and I think both are great with colour, because they live more through texture than through light/dark contrast. Especially the first photo is very strong in its contrasting colours of the greenish patina and the reddish rust. In the coloured version the shadows draws the observers view directly into the centre of the image and so adds to the dramatic of the photos.
