Competitions, Color Challenges, and Photo Challenges to keep you Creativity in Photography Flowing

Did you know that there are photo contests that you can enter and established daily challenges that you use to either get your photography going again or keep it moving?

Lets start with the competitions. There are three that I'm very familiar with and have participated in since coming to Steemit.

The first one I'm going to turn you on to is the Steemit Photo Challenge. It's ran by @jamtaylor and usually on Saturday he'll make a post of the previous winners and the new theme for the week. Limit of three entries per theme. There are prizes for the top three and the honorable mentions. Be sure to include a link to his feed or the post and tag your submission with “steemitphotochallenge”.

The next two contests are both black and white one's. Before you run off screaming like your undies are ablaze let me point out that black and white is a great thing because it reduces a photo to the important elements – composition and storytelling – and regularly shooting for black and white will make you a better photographer.

Next up we have the Monomad Photographic Challenge. It's hosted by @brumest and features a different theme for each day of the week with a prize for the winning photo. Limit one entry per day. To enter make sure to tag your photo with “monomad” and link back to @brumest's blog. Here's the list of current daily themes:

Sunday – Skies

Finally we come to the B&W Photo Contest hosted by @daveks. It's a weekly theme with a limit of three entries per theme. There are prizes for the top three and honorable mentions. To enter make sure to tag your photo with “bwphotocontest” and to link to the post announcing this weeks theme.

The color challenges are a just for fun weakly challenge with a different color theme for each day of the week. Not only do they give you a shot list when you go out to photograph stuff they will get you views and up votes because there are people that follow them too. Here's the list(be sure to use the tag in your post(ie tag monday's as “mondayred”):
