A thousand replies

I typed out a thousand replies
but half of them made me
look weak
and the other balf
made me seem impossible
and none of them
spoke of the strength it took
to allow my heart to feel
after what i-fc had gone through
and so i just didn't
say anything
and i guess i am just hoping
that you know me well enough
to understand that
the silence between us
is terribly loud
and the only way
you will hear me
is if you come
as close as possible
and look me
in the eyes.
