Fungi can be found growing on the forest floor, as they reap the benefits of organic matter that gets deposited. Mushrooms are amazing fungi and can be spotted in different forms and colors such as the famous toadstool or the rare lucifer mushroom. These require moisture to grow and can be found in the extinguished parts of the forest. They also have the ability to renew soil nutrients.

Mushrooms and fungi don't harness sunlight to generate energy like most living things do. In fact, they pull out nutrients from decomposing materials such as leaves and wood. By doing this, they provide enormous help to the forests as they help break down decaying substances that makes the soil rich to nurture an entire ecosystem. For this reason, mushrooms are the epitomes that aid in maintaining the health of forests.

Some mushrooms are famous in different cultures around the world due to their use in traditional cuisine, while some are extremely dangerous to consume. Besides, their otherworldly features have provided themes for legends and myths where they are associated with magic, fairies, and folklore.

Some form species of fungi can be found in piles around moss and decaying trees while others are there to increase the beauty of the forest. This allows these fungi to working completely undetected and doing wonders to nature by sustaining life on Earth.
