Passiflora caerulea, sometimes known as the blue passion flower or blue crown passionflower, is a stunning climbing plant native to South America. This perennial vine is prized for its ornate and exotic-looking flowers, which can measure up to 10 cm in diameter.

The flowers are a stunning combination of white petals and sepals, often surrounded by a corona of brilliant blue, purple and white filaments that give the flower its trademark appearance. The plant thrives in temperate to subtropical regions and is commonly grown for decorative purposes in gardens and trellises.

Its five-lobed dark green foliage provides a lovely backdrop for its magnificent flowers. Aside from its visual beauty, Passiflora caerulea produces small, orange-yellow fruits that are edible when fully ripe.
