Silvermine Hike l Adventure Time
We agreed that a hike would be the perfect way to spend our Sunday (It's spring in Cape Town-not too hot, not too cold). I told him I wanted to go somewhere where I haven't been so we headed towards Silvermine Nature Reserve in Cape Town (Apparently people used to think that silver could be found there, hence the name)(Learn something new everyday).
Anyways, we stopped for some energade, water, jelly babies (this was just for me-no sharing), and chips-and we were on our way! The hike was amazing, the reserve is situated in such an awesome location that you can look out onto Tokai, Rondebosch, Houtbay, Chapman's Peak and many more.
Heading towards the mountain
A bit of Cape Town
In the "Elephant's Eye Cave." I feel like the picture doesn't do it justice.
But wait, now I need to rest before we carry on. We spent the day talking about Tool, aliens, ghosts, politics, religion, friendships and food. Enjoy having friends like these. We agreed that people say they are friends with someone way before it's actually true, and that trust takes at least a year to build up. So after pondering on the topic for a while, we agreed that we've come to a stage where we can call each other friends.
Next stop-Ocean views.
Take a photo of me while I look into the sunset basic bitch photo
Wait, are you sure you've gotten enough photos? I want a variety.
Let's do one of me standing up
