Time is our Enemy.

No matter how hard it may be to accept or how hard we try to forget, we're all riding on an inescapable bus down "time highway".

We can't stop it...no one can.

We have to accept the fact that everything we're seeing, every moment that touches our heart, we'll never see it the same way again.

Capture the moment.

Photography changed the world, it allowed us to finally capture moments, things, people that we care about, so that even after time strikes it's final blow at them, they can forever remain close to our hearts.

Taken on an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II

What happened to this flower?

Like everything in the universe, it slowly faded away. As you can see, by the time this photo was taken, the flower was already on it's way out. By now it's long gone. But that's okay. It lives on in the picture I took, just as we can remember our loved ones by cherishing moments with them.

P.S: Want to watch a touching Sci-Fi movie about time? Check out Interstellar.

Sort:

In some traditions Time is personified and known as the "Merciless" (though all-just) Heropass" and it was for overcoming the effects of the Heropass that our Creator had to make adjustments in the workings of the laws of his Universe.

This is a line of thought that probably emerged from later variations of Zoroastrianism, but it is still held by groups of people to this day.

What are your plans for overcoming the effects of Time?

Interesting to see how this topic has plagued us since the beginning. That the concept that one day, we and everything we love won't be around anymore, it has always disturbed us, it's almost as if our lives weren't meant to end.
To answer your question, I'd rather not try to overcome the effects of time (something I think would be rather futile), but instead, I'd rather "beat it" by proving that it doesn't bother me, and cherishing moments of my life.
The movie mentioned above, Interstellar, basically talks about this. Cherishing our precious moment instead of striving to prolong our life or cram a huge bucketlist into a life that doesn't fit it.

Wow a good question. Hopefully @peter-parker can give a good explanation anyway.

Good subject to represent your point. It's personally something that satisfy my curiosity to know the meaning behind a picture. Why did the photographer/artist choose that subject? Why he represented it that way? Sometimes you can read it in the image, sometimes not. Sometimes it's just because of representig beauty and that's ok, but sometimes there's something more. Like in this case

True @airmatti, I also love when artists explain their art. It can open up an entire new meaning to a piece of art that at first glance might seem mediocre.

Always beautiful shots @peter-parker. 😍

Wow, a heart-eyes emoji...you're making me blush!
