Gabreta - The celtic village | Das Keltendorf Gabreta [EN/DE]
There are so many magical places to be found in the Bavarian Forest. Last week we visited the Celtic village "Gabreta". This village is a walk-in exhibition dedicated to the life of the Celts in the ages between the 12th and 2nd centuries BC. You can step into various houses, community houses, craft houses, stables and a temple. Outside there are stoves and hearths and a grave mound with an impressive cult figure. In addition, some animals live here: sheep, horses and ducks are there during the winter. There are also mini-pigs, but they´re spending the winter somewhere else.
Throughout the year there are various events to participate in, the great Celtic festivals Beltane, Lugnasad and Samhain are celebrated, and who really is looking for something out of the ordinary for his family, can even celebrate the birthday of his children here for which various activities are offered.
Unfortunately we did not have much time, because we were not prepared for this crazy cold weather. But I still took a few impressions that I want to share with you.
Im Bayerischen Wald lassen sich so viele magische Orte finden. Letzte Woche waren wir zu Besuch im Keltendorf „Gabreta“. Dieses Dorf ist sozusagen eine begehbare Ausstellung, um das Leben der Kelten in den Zeitaltern zwischen dem 12. und 2. Jahrhundert v. Chr. nachzuempfinden. Man kann verschiedene Wohnhäuser begehen, Gemeinschaftshäuse, Handwerkshäuse, Ställe und einen Tempel. Außen sind Öfen und Feuerstellen zu finden und ein Grabhügel mit einer beeindruckenden Kultfigur. Außerdem leben hier auch einige Tiere: Schafe, Pferde und Enten waren jetzt im Winter im Dorf unterwegs. Es gibt wohl auch Mini-Schweine, denen ist es dort zu dieser Jahreszeit aber wohl zu kalt.
Über das Jahr verteilt gibt es diverse Veranstaltungen zum Mitmachen, die großen Keltenfeste Beltane, Lugnasad und Samhain werden zelebriert, und wer wirklich etwas Außergewöhnliches für seine Familie sucht, kann hier sogar den Geburtstag seiner Kinder feiern und es werden verschiedene Aktivitäten dazu angeboten.
Leider hatten wir nicht allzu viel Zeit, denn wir waren auf diese wahnsinnige Kälte nicht vorbereitet. Aber ich habe dennoch ein paar Eindrücke mitgenommen, die ich mit euch teilen möchte.

Unglaublich.. Ich wohnte 90km von Gabreta entfernt und habe noch nie davon geheort! haha Danke. Da werde ich wohl auch aml vorbeischauen!
