My village in Nepal

I was born in a small town (call it a village) in Nepal during late 80's. After getting basic education (around 12 years of studies), I left my hometown to Kathmandu (the capital city of Nepal) and to further my studies, I came to Finland, where I have been living since 2009. A lot of things happen to our life but the attachment and memories of our hometown never changes. I took some pictures when I visited my hometown and here they are:

The place I took this picture is close to my house and the river (closest one) is where I got my first swimming lesson i.e something just worked and I could float. These rivers look tiny but during monsoon season, they are deadly as they can sweep nearby houses and even take lives of human and animals.

Towards the right side of this picture lies a small yet beautiful town - see the picture below.

Did you notice that snow capped mountain? Yes, we never got snowfall in our hometown but we could always see those beautiful mountains from the yard. Near the base of that mountain, there is a hunting reserve called Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve http://huntnepal.com/dhorpatan-hunting-reserve.php - the only region where you can legally hunt animals in Nepal.

Both of the above pictures lie towards south-west from my home and towards east the landscape is slightly different because unlike earlier picture with snow-covered mountains, the far-center of the following picture represent more warmer climate and goes all the way to the Terai region of Nepal.

I hope that you liked my pictures which I took with my smartphone. You may not want to go to this place as there are no proper roads that connect this region from main cities but I would highly recommend you to think about visiting Nepal.
