Trip to St. Louis Missouri, The Gateway to the West

Town decorations! St. Louis had a big jazz community in the town, and really adds a good vibe all around the town especially at night.

St. Louis is known for their jazz, but also known for their bbq. I had went to Sugarfire's and this is their pig outside the restaurant. They also had a smoker the size of some small rooms. The way they slow cooked their meets was amazing. Briskets were wrapped in a sort of seran plastic wrap, and cooked at such a low temperature the wrap doesn't ruin the briskets, and keeps all the juices in the meat. The brisket sandwich I ordered was so soft it was as if the meat was afraid of your teeth and moved itself out of the way, could practically chew it without teeth. If you ever visit St. Louis besides seeing the arch you have to try as much bbq as possible while their.

AND of course there is the Arch. Didn't know it at first but you can go into the Arch to the top and see most of the city.

I wasn't expecting St. Louis to be all that great of a city, but the food alone made it worth it, and the Arch is definitely an experience worth seeing. Wish I could have stayed there longer and kept enjoying the food, but eventually had to get on the road back home.
