Random walk: the rest of the forest photos

in #photography8 years ago

I posted some photos yesterday taken during a walk in the forest; here are the rest of them.

This is the big, old farm called Judith-hoeve sitting on the edge of the forest:

Nice sky to walk under:

A larch making new needles:

Tiny moss forest:

Lastly, a duck, not doing anything in particular. In fact, the water was so shallow, it was sitting on its belly rather than swimming:

Thanks for watching!

@ocrdu wow! the duck would have nailed another "Reflection" SPC episode
and the conifers how come only you get to see them huh?

I look very closely 8-).

Is that the barn on the right, or another house? If a barn, that is rather impressive. Nice day to be out and about. Thanks for sharing it with we rain-dwellers.

Originally probably a combination of a house, winter stables and a loft for crops. It was not uncommon to have two houses for two generations on the same yard. These are both unusually large, though, probably once housed unusually rich farmers.

That makes sense. Otherwise, those would be the best-treated cows on the planet. Kind of amazing when 6 of my houses fit in the cow shed.
