Anybody Ready For A Swim?
In case you are wondering what is this place with so many crocodiles, it is the Madras Crocodile Bank in Chennai, India. This bank is involved in the conservation of reptiles and as such they have a huge collection of crocodiles. Most of the time the crocs can be seen lazing around in the sun with their mouths agape.
The reason why crocodiles lie around with their mouth open is to avoid overheating or to cool themselves as they don't have sweat glands.
