CAMPING IN GILA HOT SPRINGS - NEW MEXICO
Gila National Forest
This past April I went on a road trip with a couple of friends in New Mexico.
We started our trip at Gila National Forest and camped at the hot springs.
The Gila Hot Springs are located near the famous cave dwelling in the Gila River Valley.
The hot water from the springs are drawn into 3 large stone hot tubs.
Very nice to skinny dip in at night when no one is there and the night sky is full of stars.
Then we got tamales from this guy, great car!
We had a good time.
I even thought to quit smoking, but I don't think I'm ready yet.

Thanks.
we stayed here when travelling through usa last year, great spot and so chilled out when we were there. beautiful place. great ones in Colorado Pagosa too, well worth a visit, thanks for the inspiration to write a blog about that trip. springs are magical
I agree, it truly is a beautiful place. I will check out Colorado Pagosa too, planning on going out there again in August. And springs are truly magical, I'm from Greece and they are everywhere in the mountains and I always liked that the ancient Greeks always had a myth associated with each one, the ancients knew something.
As I think Macaques in Japan know that too:
