Rusty Kentucky Photo Blog #2
There is no shortage of interesting sites when driving through Kentucky. The state has a long history of settlement and industry, and traces of that heritage still haunt the sides of the winding roads. Tucked away in the hollers and back roads of the Commonwealth a person can find a treasure trove of rusty gold. Join me me as I travel these hidden highways and catch a glimpse of yesterday.

Wish you could have got the old doctors office in Seco before it got tore down, where my grandpa used to get "red jackets"
what are red jackets? any thing like black drought?
Amphetamines
Black drought makes you poop. My great aunt told me her grand Father never went to a doctor his entire life and only used goldenseal and black drought as medicine. I think He lived into his 80's.
I do like to take a good poop, i agree, its good medicine
Turns out Dolly Parton sang a jingle for the stuff.
There's so much history here. It makes me sad to see old places or homesteads that no one cares for anymore.
Me too. That's why I want to document them while they're still around. On a brighter note the Whitaker music shop was purchased by @tommyinthesun. He is renovating the building and turning it into a community center and has been using SBD to help fund the project. He's raising money for a new roof right now https://steemit.com/life/@tommyinthesun/fundraiser-to-get-a-roof-for-a-building-i-bought. Consider resteeming his post :)
