Flash Bang

I should be afraid of lightning, but quite the opposite I find it fascinating.
The Holy Grail of photography for me was to capture lightning.
One night on the way home from work I had the most perfect opportunity and got some of the most spectacular shots ever of a storm from a distance.

It took a while for me to realize what the line in some of the photos were but it was when the lightning bolt pulsed either on the way up or down

My absolute favorite shot I have ever taken is below I called it cloud pierce and did not even realize I had gotten it until I got home and was reviewing the shots
