questo è un viaggio attraverso l'Italia. Posterò una foto al giorno con una brevissima descrizione. Spero vi piaccia!
Specchia è un piccolo borgo della provincia di Lecce, nella regione italiana meridionale della Puglia; è anche conosciuto come "Il gioiello del sud Salento" ed è uno dei "Borghi più belli d'Italia".
Il nome Specchia deriva dal termine usato per i muri a secco costruiti nell'età del bronzo. Divenne importante nel Medioevo: vista la posizione strategica del villaggio, un castello era stato costruito con mura di cinta protettive per dominare il territorio.
Oggi il Castello di Risolo costituisce il cuore della città, insieme alla Chiesa Madre (XV secolo) e all'ex convento dei Frati Francescani Neri (inizio XVI secolo).
Specchia vanta uno dei centri storici più affascinanti del Salento, con edifici ben conservati, bellissime piazze e vicoli stretti.

I began a Photo Journey through Italy. I will post one photo every day with a little note of explanation. I hope you like it!
Specchia is a small town in the province of Lecce, in the southern Italian region of Puglia; it is also known as "The Jewel of the Southern Salento" and it is one of 'The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy'.
The name Specchia derives from the term used for dry stone walls constructed in the local Bronze Age. It became important in the Middle Ages: the strategic location of the village meant that a castle was constructed along with protective town walls.
Nowadays Risolo Castle forms the heart of the town, together with the Mother Church (15th century) and the former convent of the Black Franciscan Friars (early 16th century).
Specchia boasts one of the most attractive old towns in the Salento, with well-preserved buildings, pleasant squares and narrow streets.
Thing to see: Mother Church, Risolo Castle, the church and former convent of the Black Franciscan Friars, church of Assunta, Church of San Nicola di Mira, Church of Santa Eufemia, Palazzo Ripa (17th century), Dominican church and convent.

The pictures are fabulous my man and village looks really beautiful. Although I daresay the a lot of villages in Italy would want to claim the title of 'The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy'.

Oh, caro @miti, in queste foto c'era un bellissimo sole, con qualche leggera nuvola che dava un tocco pecualiare a tutto quanto, come si suol dire, anche diversamente parlando "non ci piove", sei veramente bravo negli scatti, complimenti per tutto il lavoro complessivamente realizzato, descrizione compresa
