The Rome Experience

Hey guys,

Nothing can compare to the first day in Rome after arriving in the train station. My first immediate reaction is thinking, "Wow, this is New York!" I planned to have the day just for exploring on my own. The tours and "tourist attractions" will be talked about in the days to come. Rome is such a large city, but with a small city feel at the same time. The several districts are all unique to one another and give a "homey" feel.

Local restaurants line the streets along with wonderful palaces, millennium-old churches, grand romantic ruins, opulent monuments, ornate statues and graceful fountains, Rome has an immensely rich historical heritage and cosmopolitan atmosphere, making it one of Europe's and the world's most visited, famous, influential and beautiful capitals I have ever experienced.. Today, Rome has a growing nightlife scene and is also seen as a shopping heaven, I learned from the locals that this city is being regarded as one of the fashion capitals of the world.
