Hometown...Tourist Spots.....

Iligan City is one of the famous cities in the Philippines. It is knows as the "City of Majestic Waterfalls". It is a first class highly urbanized city. The city patron is Saint Michael the Archangel. The name Iligan is from the Higaunon (Lumad/Native of Iligan) word which means "to go downstream". (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iligan). It has 44 barangays, and about 24 waterfalls. The most well known waterfall is the Maria Cristina Waterfalls, it is the primary source of electric power in the city.

Maria Cristina Falls is one the tourist spots that you should visit when you are here in Iligan City. Maybe I can show you some of my photos of the famous places that I visited here in Iligan City.

From the nickname of the city, you can say that Iligan City has an abundance of water, and Timoga Cold Springs are one of the product of that abundance.

This is one of the cold springs of Timoga, the DELA MAR Swimming Pool Resort. It is where you can experience the cold and crystal clear waters. And it offers an Olympic size swimming pool having a 16 ft depth which is one of the main attractions of the resort.

Along with the DELA MAR Swimming Pool Resort is the famous Macaraeg - Macapagal Ancestral House, where the two of the country's Presidents lived. It is considered as one of the classy houses in the city of Iligan.

And the recent waterfall that I have visited is the Mimbalut Falls. It is part of Iligan Paradise Resort and Ecopark. There are outdoor adventure activities like canopy walk, zipline, cable car ride, and etc.

With so many great places here in Iligan City, I haven't visited it all yet. I plan to stroll around the city before going to other places.
