The 5 most beautiful mountain trails in the Alps

in #photography7 years ago

Spend a few days in the mountains, without going down to the valley? These mountain trails make it possible. 5 suggestions for long hikes, from classic to insider tip.

Carefully marching in harmony with nature, always thinking of the next step - and of the next hut. I introduce 5 near and distant mountain trails: Unforgettable multi-day hikes through the sharply contoured Dolomites, between the lime cones of Slovenia or around the highest mountain massif of the Alps, the Mont Blanc.

Triglav National Park

Triglav National ParkThe Julian Alps, with their varied naturalness and wealth of forms, have advanced from an insider tip to a trekking classic in the last 20 years. The center of the Slovenian Triglav National Park is the eponymous three-summit two-thousand meter peak.

According to the composer Mussogorski, witches' Sabbaths should have taken place on him. At any rate, the surrounding National Park with the Seven Lakes Valley and the Savica Waterfall is enchantingly beautiful.

Dolomites Trek

The Dolomites are the supermodels among the mountain creatures of the Alps. Its geological past as a coral reef left artistic traces that make even hardened aesthetes dreamy revelry: the horizontal hatching of the tofana, the geometric trinity of the battlements, the oblique catches and ramparts of the Langkofel group or the crimson fairytale castle of the rose garden in the sunset. Here you can not get out of amazement anymore.

Glockner Trek

Austria's highest mountain stands amidst some classically beautiful Alpine valleys such as Ködnitz and Kalsertal. Historically and culinary prominent are the Sudetendeutsche Hütte and the Salmhütte (built in 1799 and thus Austria's oldest refuge).

Walking around the Glockner group on foot you have the famous panorama of the Pasterze in the sunset for yourself, when the tourist buses have long been gekeltelt over the serpentine Franz-Josefs-height to the valley.

Tour de Mont Blanc

13 passes, seven valleys and three countries: the circumnavigation of the Mont Blanc is varied. In the footsteps of his scientific surveyor, the Swiss naturalist Horace-Bénédict de Saussure, the highest mountain massif in the Alps can be admired extensively from all sides.

If that becomes too meditative, you can also climb one or the other light summit. Challenging is the variant on the Fênetre d'Arpette on the Swiss side, much milder is the main route via Champex on Bovine.

Sentiero Roma

The Sentiero Roma is a tour of a historic alpine climbing arena. Here is the distant echo of names like Cassin, Bonatti and Buhl. The Sentiero Roma should not be underestimated as an altitude hike.

The route passes through seven passes, at an elevation of 2500 m, passing under the south-facing granite walls and rocky cathedrals of Piz Cengalo and the notorious Piz Badile (3308 m). The route is sometimes exposed and iced by meltwater, but always fascinating. It is only suitable for experienced, vertigo-free hikers.
