Some Of My Favorite Photos I've Taken

I'm really trying to up my photography game.

I mentioned in a previous post that I was going to use SteemIt to share a lot of my photography and to use it as a platform to receive feedback as well as learn from others.

My favorite style to shoot is both landscape and nighttime urban city scape.

Here are a few somewhat recent favorites...

This was taken in San Diego at a riverboat that's no longer there. It's actually now been replaced by a restaurant over on Harbor Island. I'm really trying to improve my nighttime photography skills but the high-ISO settings on my camera are typically very muddy. This is one of the few that I've taken that I feel came out fairly clean.

This was my attempt at the quintessential San Diego skyline shot. The muddiness of the high-ISO on my Nikon D7000 really starts to show through on this shot. I also sort of botched the composition on this one. The line that divides the bay the skyline should have been centered in the shot (in my opinion).

This is one of my favorite shots from a recent trip to Maui. I liked this shot so much and it reminded me of vacation so well that I actually had the print blown up on canvas and it hangs in my office right now. The colors are just so vivid, although the location made the work easy. (Taken with my Nikon D7000)

I really like this shot because, surprisingly, it was shot with an iPhone 6. I'm not sure I could have gotten a better shot with my Nikon. The contrast is slightly lacking but, other than that, I really like the shot and the composition. This was taken at Mills Lake in Colorado.

Anyway... Just thought I'd share some photos and give people a bit of a "benchmark." Since I'll be working on and sharing a lot more of my photography, I think it'd be good to see where I'm at right now.
