Do you have tea or coffee? That's the question.

When you go somewhere as a guest in Turkey, the question you are asked;
"do you have tea or coffee?"
Of course there are other options. But this question gives little clues about your character to host.

If you feel ordinarys about yourself, you prefer to drink tea.
Other meanings of tea preference; " I will talk about something that is not important."

If you feel yourself as an important character, you prefer to drink Turkish Coffee.
Or the other way you said "I came to talk about something important."
