Pagu - Central Square: Cambridge, MA

I have been really busy with school and haven't had time to post in a while, but thought I would share this gem of a restaurant with you Steemians. The restaurant is Pagu, located in Central Square right next to The Asgard, a local watering hole. The decor of this joint is a modern chique style that comes off as upscale. The menu prices are modest, yet reflect this upscale theme. Pagu is an Asian and Spanish (from Spain) fusion tapas style restaurant that mixes the best flavors from these cultures. They have a Ramen with Jamon (Pork prepared in the Spanish style) that I absolutely have to try the next time I visit.

Squid Ink Oyster Bao - panko oyster, norioli, purple cabbage

Roasted Mushroom Mazeman - brown beech, blue foot, 62°c egg

Curry Crab Croquetas - coconut, peekytoe, aji amarillo

Crispy Octopus - mojo rojo, squid ink tuile

Shitake A La Plantxa - sherry, egg yolk, PAGU baguette

Overall I was very happy with my meal. It was my birthday and I got talking to some of the other patrons. The shaggy haired man in the first image actually ended up picking up our tab and wished me a happy birthday. It was an amazing surprise. He even sent us caramel chocolates for desert with birthday candles. The Squid Ink Baos were our favorite item, followed by the Shitake Mushroom plate. The flavors were amazing fresh and diverse. The octopus was slightly overcooked, which was excusable because octopus can be finicky but it still tasted delightful with even better presentation. The Roasted Mushroom Mazeman was bland. Overall I would give the experience a 10/10 but the restaurant itself a 7/10.
