Saturday Fun at the Adventure Science Center (with Moon Rocks)!
No petrified wood here. These are real, certified moon rocks!
They had to keep them under lock and key. The person responsible for them had to go through a special training and isn't allowed to be more than a few feet away from them.
They were a bit smaller than we expected though.
I had fun today with the family at the Adventure Science Center in Nashville, TN. I took some pictures and a video with my phone and wanted to store those memories on the blockchain. Enjoy!
Are you ready for the full solar eclipse this August? It's coming right through Nashville, and we're set to go camping and enjoy it.

Looks like a fun and educational day for the whole family. We've taken the kids to Cosi and they loved it. We'll have to make a road trip down and check this out. Happy Father's Day!
Back in march we took the kids to COSI! The great thing about it is that my 6 year old was there having a blast but was learning in the same. We had a discussion on the drive home about how much fun he had. He then had an aha moment when he realized he had fun and took knowledge away from the experience. Such a great thing to do for the adventurous kids and the subliminally are learning!

It's a Science Museum in Columbus, OH. It has tons of "hands on" exhibits & is engineered to be very kid friendly.

I don't think you can. You have to get certified to even be able to check them out to show for educational purposes and even then you need training and stuff (I was quite interested in all this, so I was asking questions). Even then, they track every person who has them and exactly what they do with them. It's kind of amazing.

What a fun way for the kids to learn about science - being hands on and having the activities really does engage them rather than a school textbook.
We school at home and even though it's summer, they are always learning! :)
Looks like a blast! We have a similar science center in St. Louis I love to check out when we take trips up North. May have to head to TN and check this one out next!
I may have been to that one! We've done a bunch of road trips with the kids and usually find some cool place to stop and learn.

They are encased in plexiglass, so I guess not. They mentioned when they do handle the larger samples, they have those clean box thingies they use.
oh that's sad but ya even they have to preserve and protect them.
