PREMISE

Being at the beginning I still have a lot to learn about how to create a correct post, both in composition and in graphics. One of my passion is photography, and I would like to show you some of my shots in my future post, I have uploaded some images without hesitation. Or rather without indicating its origin, without tagging the author. For the respect of those who follow me, and respect the photos that instead belong to other authors, I will authenticate the photos in my posts by always indicating the author or the origin. Thanks to @misterakpan for giving me this precious advice.

LET'S BEGIN

I want to introduce you to my little kingdom, Sarezzano! or rather the dazzling lifestyle of Sarezzanowood hills!

I was eight and a half years old when for the first time I came here, it was a winter night. I remember it because it was cold, even though it was dark, I felt a warm atmosphere emanating from the houses and their thousand colorful lights of Christmas decorations, and then the Castle, at the top of the hill, illuminated by a golden light.

The oldest houses stand at the foot of the hill, where the Castle of the Guidobono Garofoli once stood, the feudal lords of the village and now dominated by the Medieval church.

SAREZZANOWOOD HISTORY

The existence of settlements of the Roman age is proven by the discovery of numerous archeological finds in the territory of the present Sarezzano. The dialectical name Sarsan refers to a source still before the Roman period: in the idiom of the Ligurian populations it sounded as a "region of certain" a variety of oak that deeply marked the local toponymy in remembrance of the remote prevalence of the forest in the natural landscape.

Probably in the sixth or seventh century two hermit monks, Ruffino and Venanzio, settled here. They became patrons of the parish : their remains, which were originally buried in the San Michele Pieve, around the tenth century, were translated into the church that was built within the fortified town of the capital.

In 1585, the ruins of the monks Ruffino and Venanzio came to light; next to the two bodies was found a precious early Middle Ages code, the so-called Codex purpureus, which will again be forgotten and then found only in 1872.
These are seventy-two sheets of an original text of the four Gospels written around the 5th or 6th century, on precious reddish parchment and enclosed in a wooden case.

In the Middle Ages, Sarezzano was always alongside Guelph Tortona against the Ghibellines of Pavia and in the fatal clash with the imperial troops of Barbarossa: during the historic siege of 1155, old women and children of Tortona found asylum at the castle of Sarezzano.During the fifteenth century the village passed into the feud to the Guidobono Cavalchini, and it remained until the end of the eighteenth century when, with all the Tortonese, it became part of the Kingdom of Sardinia.

Every Queen has its own Castle.

The Castle, although it is not a castle, is just a nickname we all give to the medieval church at the top of the hill, and I also prefer that! I love living here, I'm emotionally tied to every corner of these vast lands where I laid my eyes. I'm not exaggerating telling you that every day, I just have to look out on the balcony to keep my breath away from the panorama offered from above.

These are some of the many photos I've taken, the quality of the photos is not the best, but I think it has centered on the point.
