Pictures from Warren, Maine
This week, my daughter @purplepencilgirl and I are on a rather impromptu road trip to Maine to see some friends.
We have been having a wonderful time, even in the thick of this abnormally hot heat wave. Seriously, it's hotter here in Maine than it was in North Carolina when we left. Of course, the heat doesn't affect us southerners as badly as it does the Mainers. But still, air conditioning is a miraculous invention!
The small town where our friends live is called Warren, and we are staying right on Main Street, which has a cafe, an antique store, a church, and a library. I think that's it. I love small towns!
Here are some images I've captured of the scenery so far, both in Warren proper and out on some hiking trails I walked earlier today. Enjoy!

Most of my favorite places are small towns. Yes, I would definitely love to come back for a writing retreat!

I've had a busy summer, but you know I can never leave my Steemit friends for long!
The one thing about Northeast summers I can't stand is how muggy it gets. My friend in Maine is well over 3 hours north of Warren so I hope she's got cooler temps than me.
