Everyday and Curious Encounters #6 - Bark! Bark!

I find the bark of certain tree species beautiful to look at.

Makes me remember a little story: A friend of mine likes to visit a specific tree near her home during her daily walks. She routinely hugs that tree whenever her midterms are getting closer. Hugging that tree is like a good luck charm to her.

When was the last time I hugged a tree? I cannot remember. But I noticed a negative correlation between how beautiful a tree’s bark is in my opinion and how huggable the tree in question would be. Because the barks I find the most aesthetically pleasing usually have the most uncomfortable bark to feel on one’s skin. That thought makes me giggle.
