[w]hat happens if you use flash while snowing at night?

Camera I'am using: Sony a6000
Equipment: SELP1650 (kit lens)

Two days ago It was snowing. I went outside to take some shots for instagram. Than I realized that I need to show people what happens If they use their when it snows. I will show you some examples and try to explain what happened. I didnt touch any of these photos. All of them shoted at Auto mode and not color graded.

[1]Close Objects

SPECS: 1/60 sec. f/4 20mm ISO1600 -FLASH ON-

SPECS: 1/20 sec. f/4 20mm ISO3200 -FLASH OFF-

As you can see details are barely visible at background. Tree is get lost with other details when flash is off. Snowflakes appears like whites points if you use your flash. Colours are not very important you can take the shot in RAW and make it white like in the first picture.

SPECS: 1/60 sec. f/4 20mm ISO3200 -FLASH ON-

SPECS: 1/40 sec. f/4 20mm ISO3200 -FLASH OFF-

If you are focusing on something close to you, background stays more or less same. Again snowflakes appears like dots.

[3]Macro shots

SPECS: 1/60 sec. f/3.5 16mm ISO160 -FLASH ON-

SPECS: 1/40 sec. f/4 16mm ISO3200 -FLASH OFF-

Background is totaly dead. Shadows none. Details at top. Colours more close to real.

[4]Portrait Shots

SPECS: 1/10 sec. f/5.6 50mm ISO3200

I tried to take a picture of the dog but something, I did not expected happened. He jumped on me, when flash blinked for focus, I started to run away. Its the last shot from that night. Be carefull when you using flash, same thing can happen if you shot couples kissing each under the snowflakes.
