Tipsy Father's Day! - A Smoky Bloody Mary Mix
Happy Father's Day to all the daddies in the Universe!
Today I'd like to share my first Bloody Mary mix with you all. Both me and my husband @matt-a enjoy this simple and delicious drink, except I prefer to get fancy with mine.
Usually I put a lot of pickled veggies in it and just recently I learned how good it can be with a strip of bacon . . . mmm licking my lips like a cat . I used to not eat bacon before for some reason and would always opt out of it in restaurants, but then one morning I woke up a new human being, I guess I'm getting successfully Americanized! Who would have thought?!
Okay, boys and girls, are you ready for this Bloody Mary?
Here is what we are going to need:
half of a teaspoon cumin;
1 teaspoon horseradish;
half of a teaspoon black pepper;
half of a teaspoon celery salt;
half of a thai chili for a hot Mary (optional);
lemon and lime juice to taste;
pickle juice to taste;
hot chiles juice to taste;
2 teaspoons of chipotle cholula or chipotle powder for the smoky Bloody Mary flavor.
The preparation is extremely easy, all you gotta do now is put all of the ingredients into your jar or a measuring cup, stir really well, pour into a bottle shake it nicely, add a shot of vodka in your glass add in the mix and drink it up!
For garnish you can use whatever you like, I have some hot pickled chiles, sweet pickles, a stalk of celery, lime wedges and BACON!
As you can see that was super easy, but not only easy, but also so good, now may I excuse myself gotta go have a drink :). I hope all of you, friends, have a great Sunday, enjoy the holiday whether you're a dad, pet dad, or don't plan on having kids at all!
Until next time!
Oh, I have to try your recipe. Just love most anything with bacon. Beautiful cat.
Thank you @team101! I recommend adding some garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce to it too if it's something you like, I kinda forgot about those things when I was making the mix haha
Looks amazing! Big fan of horseradish.
Horseradish in Bloody Marys = KEY ingredient that not many people know about. Makes a world of difference. I'm about to run downstairs and mix up another one of these, they rule.
Thank you! I like it too! Especially when it's in mustard haha
Oh yeah, bacon makes everything better lol! Welcome to being Americanized lol.
BTW great taste in glassware LOL!!!
Awesome picture and thank you!
When I lived in Crimea, I'd see pictures of those jars/glasses and think to myself, I want one like that too, and they don't have them where I'm from so when I came here and saw it at a store in Kentucky, I was like HELL YES, I'm finally getting it! CHEERS!
When I was reading your post I did a double take and couldn't believe you seemed to have the same glasses. It says "Country Fair", has the rooster, and says "Drinking Jar" on the bottom lol. I had Calder's Chocolate Milk in it. If you are ever in Lincoln Park, they have the best ice cream too, YUM lol.
Yes, it's the same glass! I do visit Lincoln Park occasionally! I like ice cream from Cold Stone, but it could also be the roasted almonds they sprinkle on top that possessed me haha I will try to check that shop out next time I'm in the suburbs! Thanks for the recommendation!
Wooooah, are you in our house?! We have guns, you know! haha
Pretty works :)
Thanks! Tomorrow I'm gonna translate the recipe and post it on Golos too! :)
Cool :)
Isn't that pretty! As a certified bartender, I say... nice job, @kotturinn!
I just drank one and I gotta say, it rules. I bar tended for 5 years, myself and this is definitely some grade A business!!! I'm going downstairs for round #2!
Well, yall are making me want to go get supplies! Glad they turned out so well....you know what your doing :-)
Well, what are you waiting for?! GO DO IT! Have some drinks! haha

You are welcome! Cheers right back!
Great, we also had a simple celebration of fathers day together with the whole family yesterday. We had a lunch dinner and took a walk in the mall and bought clothes and apparels for my son. It was fun, really fun. Time spent with family is really different, the joy is just hard to explain.
Awesome! Sounds like a fun day, glad you got to enjoy some quality time with your family!
:)
It is very important to keep the harmony inside the house :)
Agreed! And within yourself!
Yes, actually by doing so, we are giving ourselves a favor
Yeah for sure, spread the positivity!

So far though I've only made a Margarita mix recipe for Steemit and this.
