Collected photography w/ Adora Tokyo!

Late night here in the Twin Cities and I’m at Caffetto after hours. Quick heads up; another Caffetto family member joined the fold today. Take a minute to follow @mickey12794. He made his introduction post this evening and we had an engaging conversation about Steemit “…where the money comes from” Q/A, and best practices. It’s crazy being the one to explain the things I was asking @mada just about a year ago.

In other, less exciting […everyone else] but still relevant news, the Shift card came out this afternoon and purchased about $30 worth of Magic: The Gathering cards at Mead Hall Games in uptown. I’m building a new cycle deck, which didn’t exactly rock my world against @tarotbyfergus […but new decks take time to figure out]. The relevance is that we’re just a few weeks away from the next expansion release, “Hour Of Devastation”. I don’t know how many of my followers enjoy my MTG posts, but brace yourself…there will be another one coming soon!

Tonight’s photography post features a beautiful friend of mine named Adora Tokyo. Currently living and working in Atlanta as an entrepreneur, her company, Die Gorgeous does state of the art micro-blading [cosmetic brow procedure]. Adora is originally from Minneapolis and that’s how we met. Several mutual friends eventually led us to have a conversation through Instagram, which eventually lead to a possible shoot. We set it up and a few weeks later, we met at Honey in downtown NE Minneapolis for our first shoot together.

Our first shoot wasn’t my best work. Adora did an outstanding job, but I was extremely sick that afternoon. I had a flu and in hindsight, should have probably cancelled. I managed to get a few shots I’m still proud to share, but I wasn’t on my usual low light game. A beautiful result of our first shoot together was my son @millsguthrie and Adora’s son Onyx becoming friends. The boys had time to hang out together afterwards and immediately hit it off.

A couple years later, Adora was back in town from Atlanta and we set up a light, impromptu shoot at Caffetto of all places. We made great use of the space and lowlight. I wasn’t sick and I was shooting with my new […at the time] Nikon D750 […@dexter-k and I recently bonded over]. That camera handles shadows SO well. I directed Adora close enough to the pin ball machines in the Caffetto basement that I was able to light her with just that, more or less.

Our last shoot was just two months ago […featured at the top of the page]. I managed to have a friend that was able to hook us up with a drop dead gorgeous mansion in uptown Minneapolis. I pulled lingerie from What Katie Did and Adora came ready to shoot. Originally, these shots were suppose to be for the NOIR I Minneapolis event this fall, but with the news of the Dark Pinup book I’ll be doing […you can read about that announcement in my recent post “HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! Steemit milestones and career milestones!”], I’m not sure if there’s going to be time by year’s end.

Thanks for reading! I post this kind of stuff all the time so for more photography, art, illustration and writings, follow me @kommienezuspadt! Thanks so much to everyone that’s recently helped me get to 1,000 followers!

Oh man those pinball machine shots are just out of this world dude. The light is so freakin cool! On a side note, I also love them because I am a bit of a pinball addict and there are like TWO pinball machines in all of Spain it seems, something I am missing dearly from Canada. Anyhow, great work as usual!!
