Abandoned building in Sao Miguel, Azores

I love old and ruined buildings. Everytime i pass by one of them I always start wondering how they could have looked like in the past or who might have lived there... What were these people's dreams, hopes and aspiration, whick kind of discussions they might have had and where are they now...

Lovely how nature is taking back possession of the work created by man, huh? :)

I took these pictures during a hike in the beautiful island of Sao Miguel, in Azores, an archipelago located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and one of the most beaufitul places on Earth, screming nature from all its corners and with some of the most lovely and welcoming people i have ever met.
