Katherine Higley Original Photography : Cape Neddick (Nubble) Lighthouse Maine

Cape Neddick Light, known as Nubble Lighthouse and Cape Neck has always drawn loads of tourists. Today an estimated half million people visit the park every year to gaze across the channel at the light house and take pics. Some even make paintings of this beauty. A Man by the name of Nathaniel H. Otterson, was the lighthouses first keeper, and courted the tourist trade with the help of his family. Keeper Otterson, served the lighthouse until 1885, he earned $500 annually, not counting his profits from the tourist trade. This Lighthouse is a must see if you travel to the coast of Maine.
