Picture Stories #76 - A House In The Woods
A house that's in the lap of nature, the greenery creeping in and the walls wearing down - is it abandoned, is it still inhabited? The answer is open to anyone's guess. But what I like about such places and pictures is that they make you think, about the present and about the future. What once came out of nature will again go back to nature, it's a cycle of life and holds true for inanimate objects as much as it does for living things. We sometimes grow too attached to things and that is why we cannot bear losing them. And sometimes we grow so detached from certain things that we never realize when they disappeared from our lives. Wishing you a happy Sunday with some food for thought and some pictures to dwell upon:
Some people wish to own and live their life in a farmhouse away from the madness of the city, some picture their dream-house to be atop the world's tallest building!

That house looks like it has some stories to tell.
My ideal house is in the historic district of a medium-sized city. An old house within walking or easy driving distance of modern amenities. That's the dream.
A storyteller can always find stories in unexpected places ;) May your dream come true :)
This house is reminding of houses seen in some of the hindi movies (old) ... where the hero and heroin spends the time after leaving their rich father :)

Though it is beautiful but to me it doesn’t give a too happy feeling. It looks abandoned and sad.

I think it is already abandoned with how it looks outside. It seems that no one taking care of. And I would love to build my dream house in a place far away from chaotic environment.

Such a good reminder — nature will reclaim things that are left to her. As for a dream-house, I'd love a low-maintenance house with a nice-sized yard, walking distance to my kids' school and to fun things to do, in the heart of a thriving mountain community. Is that specific enough? lol!
