There is no doubt that his talent, together with his genius, made him one of the most admired artists of all time. Michelangelo was one of the greatest references of the time in which he lived and his glorious contribution to that revolutionary artistic period that has gone down in history, with the name of the Renaissance, is so broad and overflowing with creativity that even the great film directors, such as Steven Spielberg, imitated, in unforgettable fantastic and family films, such as 'ET, the extraterrestrial', that masterful touch, between the fingers of God and Adam, which, anticipating Original Sin, never reached to touch.

But his genius was also influenced by his sense of humor, in accordance with his transgressive spirit and his daring, which, considering the circumstances of the time, is certainly revealing and, of course, worthy. of admiration. Reaching these conclusions, however exaggerated or even subjective they may seem, is derived from the point of view with which we look at some details, of what could well be considered the Summit Work of his entire extraordinary career: the frescoes on the vault of the Sistine Chapel.

In this unprecedented work, carried out between 1508 and 1512, commissioned by Pope Julius II, Michelangelo not only represented himself, something totally unusual and outright prohibited, but also was also, if not the only one, one of the few artists who dared to paint God with his ass in the air, literally speaking and in fact, it might be added, taking my own daring one step further, in his honor, who was the forerunner of modern hospital gowns, which, by the way, like Michelangelo's image of God, also leaves us all with our asses in the air.

No cabe duda de que su talento, unido a su genialidad, hicieron de él uno de los artistas más admirados de todos los tiempos. Miguel Ángel fue uno de los mayores referentes de la época en la que le tocó vivir y su gloriosa contribución a ese revolucionario periodo artístico que ha pasado justamente a la Historia, con el nombre de Renacimiento, es tan amplia y desbordante de creatividad, que hasta los grandes directores cinematográficos, como Steven Spielberg, imitaron, en inolvidables películas de índole fantástico y familiar, como ‘ET, el extraterrestre’, ese toque magistral, entre los dedos de Dios y de Adán, que anticipándose al Pecado Original, nunca se llegaron a tocar.

Pero su genio, también se vio influido por su sentido del humor, en concordancia con su espíritu transgresor y su atrevimiento, que, considerando las circunstancias de la época, no deja de ser, ciertamente, revelador y por supuesto, digno de admiración. Llegar a estas conclusiones, por exageradas o incluso subjetivas que puedan parecer, se deriva del punto de vista con el que miremos algunos detalles, de la que bien podría considerarse como la Obra Cumbre de toda su extraordinaria carrera: los frescos de la bóveda de la Capilla Sixtina.

En esta obra sin precedentes, realizada entre 1508 y 1512, por encargo del Papa Julio II, Miguel Ángel no sólo se representó a sí mismo, algo totalmente insólito y rotundamente prohibido, sino que, además, fue también, si no el único, uno de los pocos artistas que se atrevió a pintar a Dios con el culo al aire, textualmente hablando y de hecho, podría añadirse, llevando mi propio atrevimiento un paso más allá, en su honor, que fue el precursor de las modernas batas de hospital, que, dicho sea de paso, al igual que a la imagen de Dios de Miguel Ángel, nos dejan también a todos con el culo al aire.
