[ENG-SPN] Spanish gastronomy: tapas and pintxos / Gastronomía española: tapas y pintxos

One of the greatest added incentives to travel is that you can also discover an entire exquisite universe of pleasures and sensations, in the gastronomic customs of each of the countries we visit.

Spain has been a country that has always stood out for its rich and varied gastronomy, being, at present, its different regional dishes, which have seduced the taste of the numerous visitors who come annually to our country.

But what most attracts them, deep down, is our old custom of having an aperitif -what we call 'tapa' or 'tapeo', in large areas, such as the two Castillas and 'pintxo' (pronounced 'pincho') in the North- that in addition to appeasing the appetite, also contributes to something very important today, as it is something so necessary, like socializing.

Uno de los mayores alicientes añadidos a los viajes, es que también se puede descubrir todo un exquisito universo de placeres y sensaciones, en las costumbres gastronómicas de cada uno de los países que visitamos.

España ha sido un país, que siempre ha destacado por su rica y variada gastronomía, siendo, en la actualidad, sus distintos platos regionales, los que ha seducido el gusto de los numerosos visitantes que acuden anualmente a nuestro país.

Pero lo que más les atrae, en el fondo, es esa antigua costumbre nuestra del aperitivo -lo que denominamos ‘tapa’ o ‘tapeo’, en extensas zonas, como las dos Castillas y ‘pintxo’ (pronunciado ‘pincho’) en el Norte- que además de calmar el apetito, contribuye, también, a algo muy importante hoy en día, como es algo tan necesario, como socializar.
