[ENG-SPN] Predator / Depredador

Without in any way detracting from previous or later works, I admit that I have always thought that it was, possibly, his titanic fight against a powerful extraterrestrial entity -film, where it was also made clear that intelligence or at least that substitute known as tomorrow, like poetry, is a weapon loaded with the future - the one that put Arnold Schwarzenegger in the orbit of interpretation.

It is true that there was a precedent, in my opinion, nothing surpassed in later versions, with his interpretation of the culminating character of the heroic fantasy of Robert E. Howard: the doubly barbarian, because of his condition, also, of Cimmerian, Conan; or even, rushing the inexhaustible, of the relativities of time travel and the Luciferian rebellions of Artificial Intelligence, playing a cybernetic entity, which is humanized in successive versions -unforgettable gags included- adapting to the whims of committed scripts always With that inexhaustible source of power called the dollar, his interpretation of that modern remake of the biblical story of David and Goliath, seemed decisive in his career.

Bearing these precedents in mind, I cannot help but think, that today it causes a certain nostalgic anguish, to observe how the figure of that terrible and metaphorical Orion, imperturbable and terrifying extraterrestrial trophy hunter, the omnipotent Predator, goes completely unnoticed by society in general. and for tourism, in particular, whose greatest terror would be none other than black clouds threatening a storm on the horizon.

Sin desmerecer, en absoluto, trabajos anteriores y tampoco posteriores, reconozco que siempre he pensado que fue, posiblemente, su titánica lucha contra una poderosa entidad extraterrestre -película, donde también quedó de manifiesto, que la inteligencia o al menos, ese sucedáneo conocido como maña, al igual que la poesía, es un arma cargada de futuro- la que pusiera a Arnold Schwarzenegger en la órbita de la interpretación.

Cierto que hubo un precedente, en mi opinión, nada superado en posteriores versiones, con su interpretación del personaje culmen de la fantasía heroica de Robert E. Howard: el doblemente bárbaro, por su condición, además, de cimerio, Conan; o incluso, apurando lo inapurable, de las relatividades de los viajes temporales y las rebeliones luciferinas de la Inteligencia Artificial, interpretando a una entidad cibernética, que se va humanizando en sucesivas versiones -gags inolvidables incluidos- amoldándose a las veleidades de unos guiones comprometidos siempre con esa fuente inagotable de poder que se llama dólar, su interpretación de ese remake moderno de la bíblica historia de David y Goliath, me pareció determinante en su carrera.

Teniendo estos precedentes en la memoria, no puedo evitar pensar, que hoy causa cierta congoja nostálgica, observar como la figura de ese terrible y metafórico Orión, imperturbable y terrorífico cazador de trofeos extraterrestre, el omnipotente Depredador, pasa completamente desapercibida para una sociedad en general y para un turismo, en particular, cuyo mayor terror, no sería otro que unas negras nubes amenazando tormenta en el horizonte.
