When I woke up around 4:45 am this morning, I looked out the window and saw some pinkish clouds in the east. |
Als ich heute morgen gegen 04:45 Uhr aufgewacht bin, habe ich aus dem Fenster geschaut und im Osten leicht rosa leuchtende Wolken gesehen. |

This could be a nice sunrise at the water, I thought to myself and drove off a short time later towards the reservoir. But the closer I got to the lake, the thicker the fog in the east has become, through which one could only see a slight pink glow then. | Das könnte ein schöner Sonnenaufgang am Wasser werden, dachte ich mir und fuhr kurze Zeit später in Richtung Stausee los. Doch je näher ich an den See kam, desto dichter wurde der Nebel im Osten, durch den man nur noch einen leichten rosa Schein erkennen konnte. |

After sunrise photos were not really possible, I photographed some swans and the area for a while. If some of these photos have turned out well, I will post them in the next few days. | Nachdem Sonnenaufgangsfotos hier also nicht wirklich möglich waren, habe ich noch eine Weile Schwäne und die Gegend fotografiert. Falls einige dieser Fotos gut geworden sind, werde ich sie in den nächsten Tagen posten. |

Only a few minutes away by car in the Rosental valley, I drove directly past this tree, which stood on the grassy hill directly in front of the sky, and of course still stands there ;) There was no fog at all here. | Nur ein paar Autominuten entfernt im Rosental bin ich dann direkt an diesem Baum vorbeigefahren, der auf dem Grashügel direkt vor dem Himmel gestanden ist, und natürlich noch immer dort steht ;) Hier war weit und breit kein Nebel mehr zu sehen gewesen. |

Two plots that say that it is difficult to speak unequivocally about the weather. Mist over the lake and clear sky over the hill. I like both options in your performance my friend @Johannpiber! The tree looks like an apple tree, similarly depicted in biblical illustrations. There is something special about the short horizon. Perhaps it takes its roots in those distant times when people dreamed of reaching the ends of the earth.

I don't know, what kind of tree this is, but since it is just beside a road, I will see it again soon. At the latest when the fruits are ripe, I will know, what tree it is :)

Not quite what you were aiming for, with no nice sunrise but the fog makes for such a magical almost mystical shot, I love it and that tree has such a cool character, great shot

I hoped for a sunrise, but I did not mind the fog - I love foggy photos, and I have made some more foggy photos - a few with a bit of sun shining through. They looked quite nice when I reviewed today's photos. If it rains tomorrow I have these photos to edit and post, and if not, I will have a sunrise ... or more fog ;)
I always look for such trees on hills, but most are not alone or there is something distracting in their background. This one is standing alone and nothing is behind, only the sky - I'll go there again at other weather :)
I to am never disappointed with fog, in fact never disappointed other than with rain and not being able to get out and take photos ;) Looking forward to seeing your other shots from today but hoping you get nice conditions and new shots tomorrow ;)
I think, I will have to edit these shots for my today's post, because, as I have already written in my other comments, it is raining and cold here, and I don't think, that I will go anywhere today :(
Howdy sir johannpiber! too bad about the fog but that tree is a great shot too. It looks like a good climbing tree. I think you should climb it like a monkey and then take pictures of the views!

Thank you, but this tree just looks big - it is rather small, and the view would be on the road and a few fields and meadows, not really that special.
... if I was a monkey I would prefer to dance, instead of climbing trees :)))

Er ist den Witterungsverhältnissen alleine
ausgesetzt, im Gegensatz zu Bäumen im Wald.
