I do not remember where exactly I found this tree, but it was at the beginning of August this year on the side of the Goldeck Panoramic Road on the way back to the valley, when I saw it standing at the top of a steep alpine meadow. | Ich weiß nicht mehr genau, wo ich diesen Baum gefunden habe, aber es war Anfang August dieses Jahres an der Goldeck Panoramastraße auf der Rückfahrt ins Tal, als ich ihn am oberen Rand einer steil abfallenden Almwiese stehen gesehen habe. |

You may be right, but I honestly do not know :)
The stem looks like the stems of our cherry trees at home, but because there were no blossoms or fruits I cannot tell. So it's just a "tree" 😉

Whatever type of tree it is it has such character and is so cool :)
I had to stop at this tree and make some photos, because I liked the shape of it so much, even though I had to stamp a large traffic sign to the left of the tree with Photoshop ;)

i love how it grows sideways, as if blown by the wind. An added interest is the white rope, which i think is actually your signature. For some reason it belongs there.

Howdy sir johannpiber! Man, that is one incredible tree and photo, that background is stunning! Either half the tree fell off or the poor thing was affected by the winds in one direction.
I think, somebody cut a branch for some reason, or it fell of, as you said.

Well the only complaint I have is that it is an uneven photo subject now and that is a problem. I like balance in nature, that one doesn't look right so next time please try to find a balanced tree. lol.

I was riding on my bike down from the mountain, when I saw this tree on the meadow a few metres from the road, and I had to photograph it :)

Great shot. Got me thinking i haven't had any cherries in quite some time.
I haven't had cherries for even longer, I think. When I was young we have had a big cherry tree at home with big red cherries, but this tree has been cut a while ago.

Yep! I just posted one on my Huahine travel post. I have loads of palms doing the same thing. Magical. When I go back to Scotland I always look for the lone trees in a field or on a hill!
