Blue Friday #colorchallenge; Blue Sky at Night - a Curated Collection of Photographs from around the World
Swedish Moon, shot in Nyköping, Sweden by fdecomite
I love photography. I'm not the best photographer on the planet, but I get a few lucky shots. I have a good eye and a creative bent, and I enjoy digging through dozens and dozens of photos to find the treasures hidden amidst an abundance of good and not-so-good photos.
The following photos are licensed under Creative Commons and can be found under the Wikimedia umbrella of collections. Photographers credited, titles and locations included where possible.
So with that in mind, tonight I present to you: Blue Sky at Night - a Curated Collection of Photographs from around the World.
Mourning Moon, Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, Dhilung Kirat
Prior to dawn at Broadsands beach, Moon setting, U.K. by Tom Jolliffe
Views over Madrid at the blue hour, shot in Madrid, Spain, by Diego Cue
Hovering on the Horizon, NASA Earth Observatory, International Space Station
I hope you've enjoyed view this selection. Will see you with another collection soon!
I like the last one... need this in highest possible resolution! :D
Hi - if you search "Hovering on the Horizon", you should be able to find a source file with different resolutions.
I didn't want to use the highest res - thought it might take too long to upload the page. This came from Wikipedia - these are all Creative Commons photos, free to copy.
The downside for me is that a thumbnail won't load. Maybe something is blocking it - software can't tell if you have permission to copy or not. It's too bad - I genuinely put some effort into selecting photos & crediting sources.
Anyway, have fun - better yet, go to NASA. We taxpayers paid for the photos there, so we can copy those, too.
Nice to meet you!
Helpful info! Tanks! :)
You're welcome. Awesome photos on NASA.
