Chowing Photography #3: The First Sunrise of 2018
My girlfriend suddenly wanted to watch the sunrise with me on the first day of 2018. Even though it was a weird request, I liked it and so we went. We got together around 6 AM to go to the Long Beach Pier and Apple weather app said the sun would rise at around 6:58 AM where we're at. We landed ourselves a nice spot right next to the light house. However, we did not anticipate the east-ward side of the sea was blocked by the other part of the pier and the morning fog surrounding the water. No matter, we still had a wonderful and chilly time with a couple of random strangers watching the sunrise with us. I was able to take some decent pictures and still needed to learn how to white balance properly. As the sun rose, so did the shades of orange and red in the sky. I hope you enjoy our sunrise viewing as much as we did!
