Springfield Mo AV Club Group Shoot #1 House Of Style Part 2: Sarah (6 images)
This series of photo's were taken in May of 2012 at Paul Mitchell 'The School' in Springfield Missouri. This was the first of 3 group photo shoot's that I attended. @melodyrussell also attended this one and has her own set of photo's to possibly share in the future!!
'The School' is a cosmetology school that used to host these types of events where Models and Photographers would come for a day of makeup and photography! This is were we met the wonderful Cindy Rhodes that we worked with several times after this!
This event in particular was put on by the "House Of Style". There were probably 20 or more photographers and at least 15 models and a very talented group of MUA'S that came together to build each others portfolio's!
Sarah is a full time promotional model!! She lives in Chicago now I believe and does all sorts of promotional modeling gigs from big Nascar races to Starbucks events!!!

It is very nice shot @jasonrussell. I guess it was a very good opportunity for everyone%) MUA and models - got their portfolios filled up with new well-done photos, photographers got new photos. The very good example of colaboration which works for everyone. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I do not know if you are guiding your models or they have a natural talent, but i like the way they appear in the images: lively and vibrant. A few shots might be a bit blurry or not in perfect focus but that does not ruin the shots as it gives dynamics and film look that would appear even more nice in some BW conversion.
We do guide the ones that need it! And yeah i almost converted that second to last one to b&w too but i liked it in color a little more this time.. not all photographs will be perfect every time. .. but looking back i would have shot these differently!
Well looking back we all would probably do some thing differently, but at the same time if we did them differently we would think of doing them the way that we just did them :) No looking back. Just looking forward to seeing more of your work.
