Bathroom in 40mm
Since discovering the #monomad challenge, the #blackandwhite photography movement, and even more capabilities of my trust Panasonic Lumix GH4 I've been so inspired to take my camera everywhere and grab some stills wherever I go. This time I decided to photograph a simple bathroom.
It was about about half way through photographing said bathroom that I thought, "This is dark and creepy. Wow this might make a good photo series."
Is it great? I'll leave that up to those who choose to check out the photos and leave a comment. I'm personally a fan and wouldn't share any content unless I was proud of it.
I shot all of the presented photos with a 40mm Konica Hexanon lens with a black pro mist filter. This might have been the first time in a long time that I did an entire shoot with a singular lens. I discovered the konica hexanon lens set back in 2020 and have been playing with them with great results on numerous shoots including portraits, editorial shoots, music videos, and even narrative videos.
Keep in mind the bathroom was photographed as-is. Nothing was dressed or changed, I just went into the bathroom and photographed it. Is that an important note? I don't know, I just felt like sharing that.
Anyways, this was my nightly art project. Maybe I'll be able to crank these themed shoots out on a daily basis. That'll be a fun challenge. No promises or commitments ahaha.
