Bonaventure River in Gaspé peninsula, 🇨🇦
The Bonaventure river is one of the most beautiful and transparent I've seen so far. It does not havr this turquoise color of the West Canadian lakes such as Lake Louise or Lake Payto, but still it is super clean and transparent. So much so, that if you borrow a kayak, and stay still for quite some time, it will certainly look for people afar that your kayak is floating on air, same as Luke Skywalker's landspeeder 😉
Every time I would see kayaks or canoës from ashore, it would make me think of a galaxy far far away...
But I was quickly brought back to the present by the beautiful river, the fresh air and the sounds of nature... and my kid throwing stones in the river 😅
We borrowed a canoë at Cimes Aventures, a camp located near the river, and spent nearly 3 hours descending it to the sea. Highly recommended.
As for the pictures, the first one was taken on the evening, near the camp. You can see that at some point it's only a few millimeters high so you can literally walk on water.
The others were taken during the descent as we stopped once to indulge into se stone throwing ✌
