Actually busy with viewing and sorting the large amount of landscape pictures taken during our vacation in Switzerland (I promised to write another article about this trip), I noticed some very nice insect photos, which I don't want to withhold from you.
So here we go:

Eigentlich damit beschäftigt, die große Menge der während unseres Schweiz-Urlaubs entstandenen Landschaftsbilder zu sichten und sortieren, um wie versprochen einen weiteren Artikel darüber zu schreiben, fielen mir einige sehr schöne Insektenfotos auf, die ich euch nicht vorenthalten will.
Also los geht's:
| The beautiful wasp Hedychrum nobile lives parasitically by laying its eggs in the food-filled breeding chambers of various wasp and bee species. The hatching larva eats both the host larva and its food supply. | Die wunderschöne 'Sand-Goldwespe' (Hedychrum nobile) lebt parasitisch, indem sie ihre Eier in die mit Nahrung befüllten Brutkammern verschiedener Wespen- und Bienenarten legt. 'Violet carpenter bees' (Xylocopa violacea) reach almost 3 cm body length, but are completely harmless despite their impressive appearance.
Their nesting sites are gnawed in dead wood, which is often lacking in the more often than not sterile landscapes and gardens of Germany. |
'Große Holzbienen' (Xylocopa violacea) erreichen fast 3 cm Körperlänge, sind aber trotz ihrer beeindruckenden Erscheinung völlig harmlos.
Ihre Niststätten werden in Totholz genagt, an welchem es in den häufig steril-aufgeräumten Landschaften und Gärten Deutschlands oft mangelt. |

Die Insekten so nah zu sehen, ist schon beeindruckend.
Sonst nimmt man sie nicht so richtig wahr.

Die Goldwespen ist der Hammer. Ich hatte sie dieses Jahr auch häufiger bei uns auf dem Balkon. Faszinierende Tiere. 🐜 Auch die anderen Aufnahmen sind dir bestens gelungen.

Amazing photos. It turned out great macro photography. It's cool that modern cameras allow you to see small details that we did not even know about.

Braucht man offensichtlich auch nicht. War zuletzt auch nur noch mit Handy am knipsen... ;-)

Beautiful insects although I do think a couple would make scary creatures in a horror movie!
