Jet Star Roller Coaster sitting in the Atlantic Ocean - Wreckage from Super Storm Sandy

Location - Seaside, NJ

I had no interest in taking photos of all the destroyed houses after Sandy ripped through the shore, but there was something about this that made me want to capture it. I grew up hanging out with friends near the boardwalk here, so that very likely played a role. I took this photo and one shot after before having to leave the beach. It was closed at the time, but a cop nearby gave me a few seconds to take a shot and leave. His lights ruined my second photo and I assumed I was leaving without anything at all, but I ended up being really happy with the first image. I love how Orion is visible right over the coaster just as twilight was ending.
