A little about the eggplant plant
The eggplant (Solanum melongena) is an edible fruit plant, usually annual, of the genus Solanum within the Solanaceae family. Its cultivation is very ancient, from before 2000 a. C. and there are innumerable written documents where they place their origin in Southeast Asia.
Eggplant is a crop that requires a lot of sun and tolerates humidity, which makes it ideal for tropical areas with a warm climate. However, it is very susceptible to certain pests and diseases that make it a very delicate crop for continuous sowing.
