Pancake week/farewell to the winter/широка масленница

Today is the last day of pancake week. Festivals are organized in all parks. People have fun, eat pancakes, and in the evening burn Maslenitsa - say goodbye to the winter and meet the spring.

Today we visited the festival in the main city Park of Moscow - Gorky Park.

"Maslenitsa" is unusual today - simbol of "heavy winter" (she usually looks like a rag doll). At the end of the evening it will gladly burn.
