One day in the desert

So apparently not a lot of Islands seem to have such a diverse environment like Lemnos has. Originally, I mean when looking at its mythology Lemnos is the Island of Hephaistion. It's the guy from Greek mythology who brought the fire to the humans. Makes perfect sense since he is also the blacksmith of the gods and Lemnos is actually a former volcano island. Yeah, not former but a lot of time has passed since its last erruption. Overall, this gives the island the ability to grow delicious vegetables, have tasty lambs and and outstanding variety in flora and landscapes.

When it comes to diverse landscapes Lemnos has to offer a lot and this time around I visited the desert of Lemnos. It is actually a quite significant place called "Amothines" and you actually have a wonderful view there and get one of the reasons presented to you how comes that Lemnos has so many beaches with natural sand.
