It is better to live ONE day like a lion than THOUSAND days like a lamb ...

The Deranged Visions Photo Contest from this week has the theme "Wildlife".

And here is my entry for the contest.

I don't have an amazing entry shot in the real wildlife ... Sorry guys if you expect that. I've never been to those awesome places like Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Africa and all other countries where it is quite usual to see those animals in their own environment. So my entry is shot in a Zoo in The Netherlands.

Why I choose for this photo is because of pictures of lions always remind me of the fight my father fought against lung cancer years ago. Yes, he unfortunately lost the fight. The cancer was stronger than he was, but he fought for it like a lion. And in spite of the tough fight he fought, he enjoyed every day he got.

Therefore a lion photo for this contest. As a tribute to my father ...
